GORILLA GRIP II - FOR WATER PROOF NYLON
Hats come in all shapes and styles—six-panel, five-panel, trucker, curved bill, flat bill, structured, unstructured, you name it. Add in the different fabrics, colors, and fits, and it can get confusing fast. One thing to know: the most popular, trendy, or “branded” hats are always the most expensive, even though the big brands don’t actually make the hats themselves. Companies like Nike and others simply order high-quality blanks and add their logo afterward. Then there are the premium hat makers—Richardson, New Era, and YuPong—known for excellent construction, consistent sizing, and dependable quality. They cost more, but you’re paying for materials and fit, not just the name. Right behind them are hats that match the name brands in quality but come at a better price. For example, the Port Authority C112 is nearly indistinguishable from its Richardson counterpart. I have clients who prefer the Port Authority version specifically because of its fit and value. And then, of course, there are the bargain hats—the $2.99 specials from craft stores. They work as giveaways, but for custom patches, dimensional logos, or long-term wear, I avoid them. They simply don’t hold their shape, don’t take patches well, and don’t reflect the level of quality I deliver. Below, you’ll find several recommended hat models I work with regularly. These are all solid, reputable choices, with slight differences in structure and finish reflected in their price points. The listed pricing represents an estimated ballpark cost including a custom dimensional patch or logo when ordering around 25 pieces—something you won’t see on many websites. As with anything, prices may shift with supply, sizing needs, or materials, and larger orders often bring the cost down significantly. For example, the C112 can drop to around $15 per hat with sufficient quantity. Use this list as a starting point to plan your budget, and feel free to contact me for a tuned estimate tailored to your design, patch style, and preferred hat model.

HAT GUIDE AND PRICING
Hats come in a variety of shapes and styles. from six panel, five panel, trucker, flat bill to colors. Add to that the actual fabric in the hats and it can get confusing! You can figure that the most popular, trending or branded hats will be more expensive regardless of their quality and are not made by the brand, Nike etc. They have them manufactured with their logo or have it added after the fact to “blanks, unadorned hats. Then you have hats like Richardson, New Era and YuPong that are both quality and expensive. Following there are hats that are every bit as good as the “name brands” at lower cost. A great example is the Port Authirty C112, indistinguishable from its Richardson counterpart.in fact I have a client that prefers the Port Authority Version. Lastl are the cheapos, you can find them for $2.99 at Hobby Lobby. Some are not to bad as giveaways but personally, I stay away from them altogether. Shown below I have listed several models, these are all quality hats with some being slightly better than others and is reflected in the price. That price… incidently itreflects the very close ballpark price of that hat complete with a dimensional logo if ordered as 25 pieces. You won’t see this on many websites. In the case where sizing is a factor or supply chain or fuel costs elevate the price I will have to do likewise. In addition, the price can go down with larger orders fro bulk pricing. Example the c122 can get down to $15 per hat with a large enough order. Regardless, the list below gives you a great starting point to figure your budget.
